How to use the Canvas Toolbar on your smart board？

The NearHub Canvas toolbar gives you quick access to the tools you need to write, draw, add objects, and import files. This guide explains what each toolbar tool does and how to use it.

Selection Tool

The Selection Tool lets you select and edit objects on the Canvas.

Select an object to:

• Move or resize it
• Copy or duplicate it
• Lock it
• Delete it
• Access additional editing options

Pen Tool

Use the Pen Tool to write or draw directly on the Canvas.

You can adjust the:

• Pen thickness
• Pen color

Use a stylus or your finger to add handwritten notes, drawings, or annotations.

Eraser Tool

Use the Eraser Tool to remove pen strokes from the Canvas.

The eraser removes handwritten pen strokes but does not remove shapes or text.

You can also select Clear All Lines to remove all pen strokes at once.

Shapes

The Shapes tool lets you add predefined shapes to your Canvas.

Select a shape and customize it by changing its color, size, or position. Shapes can be used to create diagrams, workflows, and other visual content.

Sticky Notes

Use Sticky Notes to add text-based notes to your Canvas.

Tap the Canvas to create a sticky note, then enter your content. You can move, edit, duplicate, or delete sticky notes as needed.

Templates

The Templates tool provides ready-made whiteboard layouts.

Scroll through the available templates and select one to add it to your Canvas.

Templates can help you quickly set up your whiteboard for different activities and workflows.

File Import

Use the File tool to import files into your Canvas.

You can import files stored on the NearHub Board or files from external storage devices, including:

• USB drives
• Portable SSDs
• Portable HDDs

Once imported, the files can be used as part of your Canvas workspace.
